Snug as a bug

Oh Miss Lana...

how I love you so!

She's got such a personality now. She LOVES when you make silly faces and sounds, she gives you this massively gummy smile and squeals.

She has captured her brothers heart. He loves to tickle her, kiss her and lay beside her while he watches his bed time cartoon.

She is still sleeping in the bassinet and I'm dreading the day that we transition her to bedroom (which will be soon)... I'm not ready to let her have her own room. She's sleeping for 10 hr stretches at night, I'm SO lucky.

My boobs have almost completely adjusted to her milk intake. My engorgement use to wake me up because as soon as I rolled onto a side the sheer weight of them woke me up in pain. She has gotten use to my let down too, before she would gag because it would come out like a shower head and was quite powerful (poor girl).

She has a good schedule now. Usually gets up around 7:30-8:00 goes for an hour nap around 10, another 2-3 hour nap around 12, another hour nap around 6 and then she's usually asleep by 9. She prefers to fall asleep at the breast but has been known to fall asleep while she's draped over my arm while my legs is vibrating.

We are so blessed to have such a loving and happy family.

She took the three needles like a champ, cried for a short period but was easily comforted.

We're sick

Except Robbie... but that will probably change.

Lana's got a little bit more boogies than usual and a teeny cough. Daddy has a cold, just feeling yucky and I have a sore throat and excess boogies. Thankfully Daddy can take things for his cold, I'm pretty restricted on what I can take because it can effect my milk supply and little L can't take anything, so hopefully hers doesn't effect her.

Yesterday she slept all day and was only up for a couple of hours in the evening and then went back to sleep for the night. At first I thought:

a) she's got a growth spurt coming up and she's getting her fill on sleep, or
b) she was passed around so much during Colin's birthday and was woken up a lot that she never got to have a good sleep

but now I wonder if she slept a lot due to the bug that's in the house.

I've never been a big germaphobe but I'm going to use my sanitizer a lot more these next couple of days
