Pictures - 26 weeks 4 days

I decided to hop in the bath with Robbie this morning so I put on the only bathing suit (acutally, a bikini) that somewhat fits. You might be able to see that the belly button is slowly on it's way out! (please excuse the stretch marks if they're visible)

26th Week Developments

The network of nerves in your
baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be
able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other.
He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential
for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also
good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's
continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and
measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel. If you're
having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip
that will take two to three days.

Different Movements

This evening she scared the living daylights out of me!!!

Up until this point she's given me jabs mainly on my right side along with the odd pounding on my cervix. She must be facing my belly button now because this evening was the first time she ran her hand (?) across my belly. It felt soooooooo wierd. Colin was tickling Robbie and he was giggling so hard and every time he squealed with excitement she did some kind of kick or "wave". It's very cool to know that she already knows what her brother sounds like and reacts to him.

25 week development

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a
pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning
to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled
skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a
newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be
able to discern its color and texture.

25 weeks

Another weeks has flown by! I'm half way through the 20's!!

I think the biggest thing to report is my hips, they hurt.... BAD! Imagine a pirate with a peg leg and how they limp with the peg - that's me. I've had the pain (mostly on my left side) for 3 days now and I doubt it's going to go away. The only way I can sleep is with my body pillow in between my legs. You know, when I first bought that body pillow I tried sleeping with it but found it SO uncomfortable and that it bothered my hips with how stuffed it was, now it's my savior.

Colin keeps commenting about the belly growth, today he said "oh hunny, you're poor belly". I don't feel that big, I just have a hard time walking. My initial reaction was "I need to walk more" so I went out to run some errands this morning and had to cut my trip short because I was in pain.

I caved today - I know I said I'd wait, but I found the most adorable pink and purple outfit to bring baby home in. I LOVE IT.

Whacky Hormones

So I've been using the same facial cleanser and facial cream for several months now because baby has been causing me to break out. A couple of days ago I was washing my face before bed and then put on the moisturizing cream - my face immediately started to burn and turn red! I tried to give it another chance the next day but I had the same reaction to it!! Obviously the facial cleanser isn't working for me anymore either, I've got two big zits right now. Oh well, guess this means I go shopping.

It's very odd.
